Of the 27 teams in the quarterfinals, only three made it to the finals.<br /><br />Teams from Sahyadri College of Engineering, Mangalore; Govindadasa First Grade College, Mangalore and Amber Valley Residential College, Bangalore, were the three finalists in the senior category, while CMR National Public School, BVB Nagarjuna School and Vidyashilp Academy, all from Bangalore, contested in the junior category.<br /><br />“Verbattle is not just for participants but also for the audience. People should not think that it is just a debate competition where children participate,” Verbattle founder Deepak Thimmaiah said.<br /><br />Verbattle junior is for school students in the age group of 12-16 years, Verbattle senior is for college students in age group 16-24 years.</p>
