India’s mobile phone population is expected to touch 600 million within the next two months. <br /><br />The fast growing availability of mobile network services and fares starting as low as 30 paise per minute could eventually eat into the laptop and Wi-Fi hotspots. With their small and sleek size, 3G phones have started appearing more trendy than their heavier rivals.<br /><br />Although the service in Bangalore will be provided by BSNL, it seems obvious that other private national and international providers will soon follow suit.
