<p>Senior BJP leader and former deputy prime minister L K Advani, who was here on Sunday to attend a wedding, recalled his association with the City.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Advani attended the wedding of Madhukeshwar Desai, the great grandson of former prime minister Morarji Desai. Madhukeshwar Desai is the national vice-president of the BJP youth wing.<br /><br />During his brief stay at the Kumara Krupa Guesthouse, Advani refused to take questions from the media on political issues or current affairs. “It is a personal visit. My association with Bengaluru goes back to the days of the emergency when I was imprisoned in the Central Jail”, Advani recalled.<br /><br />Advani said he was visiting Bengaluru after a gap of a few years. He had addressed the party’s Jan Chetana Yatra in the City in 2011. Advani was received by Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers H N Ananth Kumar. Several BJP leaders including Ramanchandra Gowda, V Somanna, Govind Karjol, among others, called on him.</p>
