Bengaluru: BSWML directs contractors to ensure safety gear for waste workers

Bengaluru: The Bangalore Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) has directed contractors to ensure that workers wear proper safety gear while collecting waste from households.

In a statement, BSWML said it is mandatory for workers to wear uniforms and use protective equipment such as gloves, gum boots and masks during waste collection.

The agency also stressed the importance of households segregating wet, dry and sanitary waste.
