<p>Bengaluru: A 50-year-old municipal worker lost her life on Tuesday morning after being struck by a tipper lorry at Dhobi Ghat Junction on West of Chord Road, West Bengaluru.</p><p>Saroja, a resident of Ashraya Nagar in Yeshwantpur 2nd Stage, was on her way to work around 6:30 am when the incident occurred. She was crossing the road while making her way to Variar Bakery from Basaveshwara Nagar’s Thimmaiah Road when a tipper lorry, waiting at the signal, allegedly moved recklessly and ran over her. The vehicle’s left front wheel struck her head, causing critical injuries.</p>.Two die in separate road accidents in Bengaluru . <p>Her son, Pratap, who lived with her, rushed to the accident spot after being informed by a local resident.</p><p>He reported that Saroja was bleeding from her ears along with injuries to her limbs. Pratap said she wasn’t responsive when he arrived at the spot around 6.45 am.</p><p>Saroja was taken to Victoria Hospital by the Vijayanagar Traffic Police with the help of bystanders, but doctors said she had likely died earlier due to severe head and limb injuries.</p><p>The Vijayanagar Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard and a search is ongoing for the absconding driver.</p>
