<p>Bengaluru: The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a technical professional organisation, on Monday unveiled a Mobile Outreach Vehicle in Bengaluru, its first outside the US. </p>.<p>Based on the Force Traveller T2 DV 4020 chassis, the vehicle is designed for India's diverse landscapes, including off-road. It houses emergency communications systems, a hybrid solar power system, and interactive educational facilities within a single mobile platform, according to the IEEE. </p>.Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 to bring 20,000 startup founders on one platform.<p>The truck has a solar and grid-interactive energy system with a hybrid inverter and a lithium-ion battery bank that can provide up to 30 hours of power. It comes with a Wi-Fi 6e antenna suite, 4G connectivity and HAM radio systems to provide reliable, high-bandwidth communication during emergency situations where standard networks will not function. </p>.<p>The vehicle carries interactive STEM kits to teach students and communities about climate change, disaster readiness and green technologies. Otherwise deployed in times of disaster relief, it will be utilised to raise awareness and promote preparedness through STEM education — beginning in Karnataka with the intention of serving more than 100 schools per year, with expansion throughout India planned, the IEEE said. </p>
