<p>Bengaluru: <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/bengaluru-police">Bengaluru police</a> arrested four men for allegedly raping a 36-year-old woman in Koramangala, southeast Bengaluru, well-placed sources told <em>DH</em>.</p><p>The police identified three of the arrested as Ajith and Bishnoi from West Bengal and Shivu from Uttarakhand. All the suspects are aged between 20 and 25 years; they were all working as waiters at a private hotel in Koramangala. The fourth suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, suffered health conditions and was admitted to a hospital. A police officer has been deployed to guard him.</p><p>The incident occurred between 1 am and 3 am on Friday, and the complaint was filed at around 8 pm. They then threatened her not to disclose the incident and released her around 6 am on Friday.</p><p>On reaching home, she discussed the matter with her husband and called the police helpline, the source said. “She was taken for a medical examination soon after the complaint was filed. We launched a manhunt and arrested the suspects within a few hours,” a senior police officer told <em>DH</em>.</p><p>The victim has identified the arrested suspects and confirmed that they were the ones who assaulted her. The police have also concluded the mahazar.</p><p>Joint Commissioner (East) Ramesh Banoth told DH that the complaint names four individuals and has confirmed that all four have been arrested. He added that all the suspects are from another state, and further investigation is on.</p><p>The Koramangala police have filed an FIR under the relevant section of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) related to rape.</p><p>This is the second rape case in Koramangala in the last one year. The police successfully arrested suspects in both cases in just a day.</p>
