<p>Srirangapatna (Mandya dist): A software engineer from Bengaluru, met a watery grave in <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/cauvery-river">River Cauvery</a>, at Yedamuri, near Belagola, in Srirangapatna taluk, Mandya district, on Wednesday afternoon.</p><p>P Vignesh (27), an employee of Infosys company and son of Pandian, a resident of Ramamurthynagar, Bengaluru, is the deceased.</p>.Man drowns in water-filled stone quarry pit in Udupi, case filed for alleged negligence.<p>It is said that Vignesh, along with three of his friends, had come for a picnic to Yedamuri falls. Vignesh got into the river for a swim, when he drowned.</p><p>Police and Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved his body. KRS police have registered a case.</p>
