<p>Bengaluru: <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/cubbon-park">Cubbon Park</a> metro station on <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/namma-metro">Namma Metro’s</a> Purple Line was temporarily shut on Monday morning after a power failure disrupted services, forcing trains to skip the station and leaving commuters to navigate the premises using mobile phone torches.</p>.<p>The <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/bangalore-metro-rail-corporation">Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation</a> Limited said in a public advisory that trains would not stop at Cubbon Park until power was restored, and asked passengers to plan their journeys accordingly. The station, which sees heavy footfall through the day, is among the busier stops on the line.</p>.<p>Passengers said the station was pitch dark when the disruption occurred, with only the lights from passing trains offering some visibility. Commuters also used torch lights on their phones to move around the platform and access areas.</p>.<p>“Due to a power failure, Cubbon Park Metro Station is temporarily closed. Trains will not stop at this station. Normal stoppage will resume once power is restored,” BMRCL said in its advisory.</p>.<p>The disruption triggered frustration among passengers, many of whom questioned the reliability of metro services at a key central Bengaluru station.
