BJP forms 12-member team to oversee Greater Bengaluru Authority polls

Bengaluru: The BJP has constituted a 12-member state-level committee to oversee elections to the five corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA).

The panel includes State BJP President BY Vijayendra, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly R Ashoka, Leader of the Opposition in the Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, and Union Ministers V Somanna and Shobha Karandlaje, among others.

The party has also appointed separate teams to supervise the polls in each of the five corporations — Bengaluru East, West, South, North and Central.

Additionally, in-charges have been designated for all 27 Assembly constituencies in Bengaluru.

The GBA elections are expected to be held soon.
