<p>The 57th birthday of Urban Development Minister Byrathi Basavaraj was celebrated by the BJP workers of the KR Puram assembly constituency on Thursday. </p>.<p>Basavaraj, who is also the Davangere district in-charge minister, visited a temple with his family members in the morning. Several ministers, MLAs, MLCs and government officials greeted him on the occasion. </p>.<p>His supporters organised blood donation camps, and distributed fruits at orphanages and study materials among students of government schools in KR Puram. The Shanta Krishnamurthy Foundation organised a blood donation camp in NRI Layout. A special 650-kg cake, themed around Covid awareness, was the key attraction. </p>.<p>Former BBMP corporators B N Jayaprakash, M N Srikanth, Bande S Raju, P J Anthony Swamy, Suresh and other prominent BJP leaders from KR Puram participated in the birthday celebrations. </p>
