'Soulmate’, the band, will be presenting ‘Spirit of Shillong Tour’ at the Humming Tree, Indiranagar on July 21, 8 pm.
The line up includes Rudy Wallang on lead guitar and vocals, Tipriti Kharbangar on lead vocals/guitar, Leon Wallang on bass guitar and Vincent Tariang on drums.
Inspired by the roots and groove sounds of the blues, blues-rock, doul, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Funk and R&B, ‘Soulmate’ was formed in Shillong in 2003 when Rudy Wallang and Tipriti Kharbangar decided to form a band dedicated to playing the blues and spreading awareness about this important genre of music. Since their inception, they have gone through many personnel changes and at present, when playing live, they are joined by Leon Wallang on bass guitar and Vincent Tariang on drums.
The opening act on July 21 will be by L’nee Golay.
L’nee is a vocal powerhouse who wows audiences every time she gets up on stage. She has recently been mentioned in ‘Rolling Stone India’ magazine as one of the ten budding women artists and has also appeared as a Performer-Speaker at TEDx. She has a very dynamic set of originals and covers of soul and R&B songs.
