BMRCL slammed for ignoring safety

 Addressing a joint press conference, ESG Coordinator Leo F Saldanha, former High Court judge M F Saldanha and senior advocate Pramila Nesargi said a series of mishaps at the ‘Namma Metro’ worksites, including one on CMH Road on Monday,  had put a question mark on the safety aspects of the project.

“It is now imperative for the State government to immediately halt all construction work of the Bangalore Metro and conduct a thorough review of the project by constituting an independent commission of inquiry. Pending this enquiry, ongoing work on the project must be stopped” said Justice Saldanha.
