BMTC bus crashes into metro pillar on Mysuru road; eight injured

Bengaluru: A BMTC bus crashed into a metro pillar in the southwestern part of the city on Friday night.

The crash occurred around 8:45 pm on Mysuru Road, near the BDA Commercial Complex, Mailasandra. The bus was moving towards the Kengeri Bus Terminal metro station.

The case is under investigation and the cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained. The crash led to at least eight people sustaining injuries, all minor in nature, said the Kengeri traffic police. They were treated at a government hospital nearby; many had reportedly been discharged at the time of this report going to print.

The crash caused significant traffic disruption on the route.
