BMTC promises probe after video shows conductor 'hitting' schoolboy

Bengaluru: A BMTC conductor has been accused of physically assaulting a schoolboy during a bus trip. 

A viral post on social media platform X shows the boy startled by the conductor’s behaviour.

A passenger is seen asking the boy if the conductor had kicked
him. 

The conductor is seen as asking, “Did I kick you with my feet or my knees?” to the boy who is seen nodding at the conductor’s question. 

Fellow passengers were seen staring at the conductor as he responded, “You can complain if you want.” 

The incident occurred on bus number KA 57 F 3364. 

Commenting on the video, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) said it had registered a complaint and would conduct an enquiry and take suitable action.
