British Airways adds second daily Bengaluru-London flight till October 24

Bengaluru: British Airways on Monday introduced a second daily flight between Bengaluru and London for the summer season, citing growing passenger demand on the route.

The additional service, which landed at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) at 9.15 am, will operate until October 24, doubling the airline's frequency on the route from seven to 14 flights a week.

The flights will be operated using Boeing 787 aircraft.

The airline said the temporary schedule enhancement will add more than 39,000 seats between Bengaluru and London during the period. The move comes amid increased summer travel demand and adjustments across its network in response to the evolving situation in the Middle East.

"Today's additional service to Bengaluru reflects the strong demand we are seeing on the route and underlines our continued commitment to the Indian market," said Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, British Airways.

Searches for travel between India and the UK on its website have risen by over 21% this month, the airline said.
