BWSSB chief appointed to global utility advisory group

Bengaluru: The Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN) has announced its fifth Senior Utility Advisory Group (UAG), appointing Ram Prasath Manohar, Chairman of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). He is the only utility leader from India in this elite global cohort, joining peers from Australia, Canada, Portugal, Brazil, and the US.

The UAG will address key utility challenges, assess regional trends, and set strategic research priorities to guide SWAN’s global initiatives.

Manohar’s appointment recognises his AI- and data-driven initiatives at the BWSSB, advancing Bengaluru as a hub for smart water management and elevating India’s voice in the global water technology ecosystem.

The announcement comes ahead of SWAN’s 16th annual conference from June 2–4 in Tampa, Florida.
