He added that Bangalore had been divided into 50 divisions and only 27 were created till now. “We intend to set up 33 more divisions in a period of six to eight months,” he said. <br /><br />Civil Defence is a volunteer organisation, which runs on the principle ‘by the people, for the people’. The volunteers help in emergency and natural disaster situations. <br /><br />Apart from weapon training, water management, fire fighting, etc, they also conduct counselling. On July 24-25, they will hold counselling for youngsters to join civil defence. The counselling will be done a professor f psychology in Bangalore University. M N Vidyashankar, principal secretary to Government, e-governance, DPAR(AR) was also present at the occasion. <br /></p>
