<p>Bengaluru: A 49-year-old former Air Force personnel was rescued by alert staff at the Jalahalli metro station on Monday after he jumped onto the tracks in front of an approaching train.</p><p>The incident occurred around 10.25 am.</p><p>"Upon the incident, immediately Emergency Trip System (ETS) was operated and the person (Anil Kumar Pandey) was rescued by the BMRCL staff and team," said a BMRCL statement.</p>.Safe space for moms: Baby feeding centres set up at Bengaluru metro stations.<p>"As per preliminary information, no injuries were reported. The normalcy of train services on the entire Green Line was resumed at 10.50 am. From 10.25 am to 10.50 am, four trains were operated in a short loop between Yeshwanthpur and Silk Institute instead of up to the Madavara metro station during this period," it added.</p><p>The police said Pandey, who is from Bihar, reportedly suffered from a mental illness and was undergoing treatment. “He was taken back by his wife. The police haven’t registered a case, but a fine of Rs 5,000 was imposed by the BMRCL,” a police officer said.</p>
