<p>Taking part in the Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College Alumnae Meet 2016 on Saturday turned out to be a nostalgic event for 152 former students. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Alumnae from batches as old as 1996 to 2015 gathered for the event, some of them accompanied by their little ones. “Taking a walk back into the college, where I spent five years of my life, after a decade was nostalgic. College years are the best days of life and I am so glad that I studied here,” said Karishma Ahuja. <br /><br />The college principal, Esther Prasannakumar, recalled the college’s inception in 1985 and its journey to the present. “The BCWCC is among the top colleges and is reaccredited with ‘A’ by NAAC,” she said and lauded the alumnae for their achievements. The principal emphasised the need for further strengthening the linkage between the alumnae and the college by asking the former students to provide monetary contribution to their alma mater. <br /><br />Cultural events marked the event followed by lunch. A new body was elected to carry forward the work of the alumnae association. It comprises president Karishma Ahuja, vice president Binitha E P and secretary Surabhi Srinivas. </p>
