First T-girder cast for Huskur station on Bengaluru suburban rail line

Bengaluru: In another milestone for the Bengaluru Suburban Railway Project (BSRP), officials recently cast the first 16.5-metre-span T-girder for Huskur station.

The T-girder has a top length of 14.97 metres, a bottom length of 14.37 metres, a height of 1.49 metres, and a width of 0.45 metre. It is made using 5.156 metric tonnes of steel and 14.90 cubic metres of concrete, K-RIDE said.

Huskur station will be part of the Kanaka Line, Corridor 4, which will connect Heelalige in the far south to Rajanukunte in the far north. The deadline for the Kanaka Line is December 2028.
