From today, 85 train services disrupted due to Whitefield yard work

Bengaluru: Starting Wednesday, a total of 85 train services will be affected due to the commissioning of the Whitefield yard (Phase 1) and yard remodelling work being carried out under the Bengaluru Cantonment–Whitefield quadrupling project.

Of the affected services, 42 trains will be cancelled over the coming weeks. Among them are 27 MEMU services connecting Bengaluru with neighbouring towns, including Kuppam, Marikuppam, Bangarapet and Jolarpettai. Several special and short-distance regular services have also been cancelled. 

In addition, seven MEMU trains will be partially cancelled, while 13 services will be rescheduled at their originating stations by 60 to 120 minutes. Another 23 trains will be diverted from the KR Puram–Whitefield route during the period of the works.
