<p> A high school student of Bangalore School in Indiranagar jumped from the second floor of the school building in an attempt to commit suicide on Wednesday. <br /><br />The school authorities rushed the student to Chinmaya Hospital immediately. She is out of danger, said sources. The girl has fractured her legs in the incident.</p>.<p><br />It is said that objectionable remarks and blackmail tactics of her classmates allegedly forced the girl to attempt suicide. <br /><br />She exchanged heated words with four of her classmates in the classroom around 3.30 pm over a petty issue. The classmates threw chalk powder into her eyes. She reported the matter to one of the teachers. The teacher summoned all the four and reprimanded them, sources said.</p>.<p><br />The four girls were upset and confronted the girl. They told her that they were insulted because of her complaint and that they would commit suicide by jumping from the second floor of the school building. Everyone would think they ended their lives because of her, they claimed.<br /><br />The girl was worried and without giving any indication jumped from the second floor. She started crying for help. Soon, a large number of students and teachers gathered at the spot and shifted her to the hospital. Her father works in the house keeping department at Bowring Institute, sources said.</p>.<p><br />The police were not aware of the incident as there was no complaint. When contacted, the girl’s relative told Deccan Herald that it was an accident. <br />“She lost balance and fell down. It is not true that she attempted suicide. It was purely an accident and she is out of danger. The girl has fractured her leg,” she said.<br /></p>
