The Karnataka High Court has reserved its order in the bail plea filed by Mohan Kumar, who was arrested after seizure of Rs 25.7 lakh from him at Vidhana Soudha.
Kumar was a typist in the office of the Backward Classes Welfare Minister C Puttaranga Shetty. He was arrested after the security officials at the Vidhana Soudha west gate found him with the cash.
It is suspected that the money was a kickback from the contractors, which Kumar was to give to the minister.
Earlier, the Lokayukta court had rejected his bail petition. The Bengaluru police had transferred the investigation of the case to the ACB who then formally arrested Kumar.
