IIMB to host aviation, aerospace conference on April 18

Bengaluru: The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), in partnership with TBS Education, will host the ninth edition of the International Conference on Future of Aviation and Aerospace (FOAA) on April 18.

The day-long conference will bring together industry leaders, researchers, and academics to discuss emerging trends in the aviation and aerospace sector.

The inaugural address will be delivered by Annett Baessler, Deputy Consul General, German Consulate General, Bengaluru, followed by a keynote by Luigi Celmi, CEO, Lufthansa Systems India.

Key sessions include a panel on India’s aviation market potential featuring Belson Coutinho, COO, Akasa Air, and Sunil Bhaskaran, Director, Air India Aviation Academy and Air India Limited, among others.

Discussions will also cover domestic manufacturing opportunities with speakers including Kota Harinarayana, as well as a session on 'Future of Airports and Aviation Infrastructure', featuring Satyaki Raghunath, former Chief Operating Officer, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), and Wing Commander Jitender Singla, Head of Airside Operations, BIAL.

Sessions on talent development and the role of artificial intelligence and analytics in aviation will also be held. A 'Make in India' session will highlight achievements of Indian companies in the sector.
