<p>The City will host a government-sponsored, week-long international conference and expo on yoga, naturopathy replete with ayurveda health stalls and consultation from experts during February next year.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking to reporters, Medical Education Minister S A Ramdas said the International Conference on Yoga, Naturopathy and Arogya Expo -2012 scheduled to be held at Gayatri Vihar Palace Grounds between February 7 and 13 will have plenary sessions, public lectures, exhibitions, Yogasana competitions among others.<br /><br />Delegates from 30 countries including the United States, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore will be participating. In all, as many as 5,000 delegates and five lakh foot falls are expected during the week-long event, Ramdas said. <br /><br />The expo will also provide a platform for academic-industry interaction on naturopathy besides business opportunities for manufacturers and suppliers of herbal medicine. More than 300 stalls have been booked, he said. Technical symposium and panel discussion with a focal theme “yoga and naturopathy for holistic health” will also be held on the sidelines. <br /><br />Those interested can also enroll for the international yogasana and title championship to be held at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium between February 6 and 9. An unique category in the championship is the “Yoga Prince” and “Yoga Princess” competition that combines yoga with beauty and physique.
