<p>Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has kickstarted “Summer Special” bus services from Bangalore towards various destinations. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The corporation has introduced non-AC sleeper bus service between Bangalore and Pondicherry with fare for single journey at Rs 425. The bus departs Bangalore at 10 pm reaching Pondicherry at 4.45 am. The return journey is at 8 pm reaching Bangalore at 4.45 am.<br /><br />Corona bus service introduced between Bangalore and Salem will cost Rs 256 for single journey. It departs Bangalore at 11 pm reaching Salem 4.15 am. The return journey is at 9 pm with the bus reaching Bangalore at 1.45 am.<br /><br />Rajahamsa bus service introduced between Bangalore and Cuddalore will cost Rs 266 for a single journey. It departs from Bangalore at 10 pm reaching Cuddalore at 6.15 am. The return journey begins at 9 pm reaching Bangalore at 5 am.<br /><br />Corona bus service between Bangalore and Kanchipuram is Rs 325 for single journey. The bus departs Bangalore at 10.30 pm reaching Kanchipuram at 5.30 am and return journey begins at 9 pm reaching Bangalore at 3.45 am.<br /><br />Validity extended<br /><br />Meanwhile, all the four corporations under State transport, including KSRTC and BMTC, have extended the validity of existing physically challenged persons passes up to March 31, 2013. It would be done through re-stamping of these passes at select centres — Kempegowda, Shanthinagar, Shivajinagar and Jayanagar bus stations. The exercise will commence on March 1. </p>
