<p>Bengaluru: Even after a week of the commencement of academic activities for the year 2025-26, around 150 Moulana Azad Model schools, run by the Department of Minority Welfare, are grappling with severe shortage of teachers.</p>.<p>To manage the show temporarily, the department has deputed teachers from other schools.</p>.<p>Even guest teachers have not been hired. However, the entrance test for the appointment of guest teachers, which was introduced by the department, was held on June 2.</p>.<p>According to sources, the appointment of guest teachers will take at least 15-20 days. There are over 250 Maulana Azad Model schools which offer English medium education from classes 6 to 10.</p>
