<p>Bengaluru: A parking dispute escalated into an assault at Herohalli in Byadarahalli, leaving a logistics firm employee severely injured and his wife attacked.</p>.<p>The video footage of the assault went viral on social media on Wednesday, and police are searching for the accused.</p>.<p>Police said the injured, Santosh (33), and his wife Shubha (30), natives of Tumakuru, reside on the ground floor of a house as tenants.</p>.<p>Santosh routinely parks his car in the space below the house. However, on Monday, their neighbour Rathnamma’s son had parked his bike in the same spot.</p>.<p>When Santosh asked him to move the vehicle, an argument broke out and the situation turned violent, with Rathnamma, her son, daughter, and son-in-law abusing the couple and attacking Santosh with a cricket bat, stumps and an iron rod.</p>.<p>Shubha, who intervened to stop the assault, was also attacked. The accused allegedly damaged Santosh’s car, and she called the police.</p>.<p>The owner of the house lives in Jayanagar and is not aware of the incident, police said.</p>.<p>Santosh, who sustained severe injuries, is recovering in a private hospital, while Byadarahalli police are investigating the case.</p>.<p>The accused family is absconding, police said.</p>
