Revisit locked homes to ensure full census coverage: Bengaluru North Corporation

Bengaluru: Bengaluru North City Corporation (BNCC) Commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar has instructed census enumerators to revisit locked and vacant houses to ensure comprehensive coverage in the first phase of the House Listing and Household Census for Census 2027.

He said the exercise must be completed by May 15.

"In this regard, special ‘Mop-Up Round’ operations are being conducted every evening and on holidays to revisit locked and vacant houses and ensure that no household is left out of the census process,” he said.

The BNCC said the special re-verification drive has significantly improved overall census coverage.

“Efforts are being made to ensure 100% completion of the first phase of house listing and household census operations,” it added.
