<p>Bengaluru: A salesman was arrested by the Halasuru Gate police for allegedly cheating a city-based jeweller, police officers said on Friday. The arrested is Naresh Sharma, 40, from Tamil Nadu.</p>.<p>According to the police, for the last three years, Sharma has been working as a salesman with a city-based jeweller. Recently, Sharma told the jeweller that he would sell some of the jewellery in different parts of the city but never returned.</p>.Jeweller, son commit suicide in Nashik.<p>On January 12, the Halasuru Gate police registered an FIR and began the probe. On January 20, Sharma was arrested by a team of investigators from Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow. The suspect was brought back to the city on a transit remand and produced before a city court that remanded him to police custody for 10 days.</p>.<p>During questioning, Sharma revealed that he had sold the jewellery in different shops in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. So far, the police managed to recover 500 grams of gold ornaments and Rs 5 lakh in cash, valued at Rs 50 lakh.</p>.<p>On January 30, the suspect was produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody.</p>
