<p>A container truck carrying currency notes from the RBI’s Mysuru printing press flipped and toppled near Bidadi, about 32 km west of Bengaluru, on Thursday. </p>.<p>The driver apparently lost balance while taking a turn at a curve section, where the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway widening work is going on, at Kempanahalli Gate around 3 pm. </p>.<p>The container was part of an 18-vehicle cavalcade that had left the Reserve Bank of India’s Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL), according to police. The vehicles were heading] to Bengaluru under CRPF security. </p>.<p>CRPF personnel cordoned off the area after the accident and called up the local police to clear the traffic. Bidadi police arranged a crane to lift the container truck. But it was too damaged to be towed away. It was pushed to the side of the highway. </p>.<p>An officer from the Bidadi police station said that the container toppled to the left, and the driver and a few CRPF personnel sustained minor injuries. </p>.<p>CRPF personnel later escorted the currency note boxes in another vehicle, a senior officer told <span class="italic">DH</span>. </p>.<p>“No complaint has been filed as of now. But if they do file a complaint, we will take up a case and investigate it,” the officer added. </p>
