Woman dies after being thrown off scooter, run over by bus on Mysuru Road

Bengaluru: A 47-year-old woman lost her life in a tragic accident on Mysuru Road, Pantharapalya, on Saturday around 9:45 pm, police said.

The incident occurred when the scooter, ridden by the victim's elder brother, crashed into a parked car after the driver recklessly opened the door without checking for oncoming traffic.

The sudden impact threw the pillion rider, Saroja, onto the road, where she was tragically run over by the rear wheels of a BMTC bus, sustaining fatal head injuries.

She was rushed to Victoria Hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.

The Byatarayanapura Traffic Police have registered a case against both the car driver and the BMTC bus driver.
