<p>Scholars from 14 Sanskrit Universities, five Sanskrit academies, 18 oriental research institutes, the National Manuscript Mission, the Samskrita Bharati and International Institute of Sanskrit Studies, Paris will take part. <br /><br />Dinesh Kamath, National Organisation Secretary of Samskrita Bharati said, 300 publications about Sanskrit, written in simple language, will be released on the occasion. Over 150 book stalls have been put up. <br /><br />Besides, from books teaching Sanskrit to those on science, computers, management, Ramayana, Mahabharata and every written material about the classical language will be available. <br /><br />Cricketer Anil Kumble will inaugurate the exhibition - 'Jnana Ganga' whereas Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Vishveshwara Hegde Kageri will launch 'Samskrita Grama'.<br /><br /> Governor H R Bhardwaj, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will be the chief guests. <br /><br />A ‘Samskrita Kavi Goshti’ will also be conducted. Samskrita Yakshagana will also be presented at Kuvempu Kalakshetra from 10 am to 5 pm on January 8 and at 6 pm the following day. Cultural programmes will be held every day.<br /><br />The event is sponsored by the State Department of Kannada and Culture, the Rashtriya Sanskrit Samsthan and Samskrita Bharati.</p>
