Devotees stood by the sides of the road to have darshan of the ceremony and also the deity. Newly weds threw banana and scented plants towards the car, as the tradition goes, in order to seek blessings of Lord Chamarajeshwara.<br /><br />With the season being referred to as Aashadha, is completely dedicated for religious events. No auspicious occasions are planned during the season. Newly married women go to their maternal house and in the name of attending religious occasion, their husbands also join them for a brief while. <br /><br />Children’s enthusiasm knew no bounds. They were too happy to see so many toys, munchies and crowds milling around them.
