<p>Bengaluru: A delegation of Congress MLCs on Thursday petitioned Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot seeking action against Leader of the Opposition Chalavadi Narayanaswamy and Opposition Chief Whip N Ravikumar for their controversial statements.</p>.<p>The Congress delegation, led by floor leader N S Boseraju, asked Gehlot to get Narayanaswamy step down. </p><p>The delegation also asked him to take suo motu cognisance of the "derogatory and communal" remarks made by Ravikumar and initiate disciplinary proceedings against him. Boseraju said a similar petition would be submitted to Legislative Council chairperson Basavaraj Horatti. </p>
