<p>The prosecution in the Renukaswamy murder case informed the High Court of Karnataka on Friday that murder-accused actor Darshan is not entitled to remain free on medical bail and must be asked to surrender. </p>.<p>Before commencing his arguments on the main bail petition filed by Darshan and others, Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) P Prasanna Kumar told the court that the actor had misused the sympathy shown by the court.</p>.<p>On October 30, the high court gave Darshan conditional interim bail for six weeks to undergo spine surgery.</p>.<p>It also directed the actor to submit reports from the hospital with details of the probable date of surgery, period of admission in the hospital for the proposed treatment and follow-up treatment if any.</p>.<p>Kumar stated that as per these reports — dated November 6 and 21 — the patient was still being prepared for the surgery.</p>.<p>He said the report shows that the blood pressure was alright up to November 6 but there were variations after November 10. </p>.<p>“This is the 6th week and they are still preparing the patient for the surgery. He is not entitled to continue on medical bail. He should be asked to surrender,” the SPP said. </p>.<p>The bench orally observed that the prosecution should have filed an application seeking cancellation of the bail.</p>.<p>To this, the advocate for the actor said a petition had already been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the interim bail. </p>.Darshan surgery date not decided yet due to BP fluctuation, Karnataka High Court told.<p>In his arguments on the bail petition, the SPP said Pavithra Gowda, accused number 1 in the case, neither availed the facilities on social media to block and report nor approached the police on being harassed by deceased Renukaswamy.</p>.<p>He said the chat between accused number 1 and the deceased started on February 27, 2024, and she asked for his number on June 3, 2024.</p>.<p>The SPP said when the deceased did not respond, on June 5, 2024, she sent him the phone number of accused number 3, saying it was her number.</p>.<p>Kumar further said that three co-accused persons, who were president and members of the Darshan Fans Club in Chitradurga, tracked down Renukaswamy and later tailed and kidnapped him by deceit.</p>.<p>“He (Renukaswamy) was told that the ‘boss’ wanted to talk to him. He was also asked to confess and apologise (for the messages/photos posted on social media) so that they will pardon him. This is kidnapping by deceit,” Kumar said.</p>
