'DK Shivakumar has no obstacles to become CM': Former minister of higher education MC Sudhakar

Davanagere: KPCC President DK Shivakumar has done a lot of work for the Congress party. Considering this, the party has given an opportunity to become chief minister. There is no obstacle for him to become the Chief Minister, said former Minister of Higher Education MC Sudhakar.

Speaking to the media on Friday, he said there is no confusion regarding the change in leadership. Siddaramaiah himself has expressed support for DK Shivakumar to become the Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's name will be officially announced in the party's legislative meeting to be held on Saturday.

He also hailed that Siddaramaiah has set a high standard by handing over power. He has shown what the personality of a top leader looks like. The reputation of the Congress high command has increased even more in this matter. "We will all work together for the party. We will bring Congress back to power in 2028," he said in response to a question.

He also mentioned that Satish Jarkiholi has all the capabilities to become the KPCC president. He has come forward to take over the leadership of the KPCC. He had taken the responsibility of the Bagalkot by-election and ensured that party's candidate would embrace victory. If he becomes the KPCC president, the party will become even stronger," he said.

He also pointed out that people of the state know about the way the BJP treated BS Yediyurappa. He had stepped down as chief minister in tears. Congress has never treated Siddaramaiah like this. Siddaramaiah himself has said that he resigned following the instructions from Congress high command Rahul Gandhi. The BJP is doing politics over Siddaramaiah's resignation," he expressed his dissatisfaction.

Sudhakar gets emotional remembering Siddaramaiah

Former minister M. Sudhakar became motional remembering Siddaramaiah's resignation as Chief Minister.
