<p>According to a press release from Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj, filing online applications for land conversion is first of its kind in the State. The 10 Gram Panchayat are Haleyangady, Kinnigoli, Bajpe, Kandavara and Kotekar in Mangalore taluk and Kurnadu, Vitla, Kavalamudur, Mani and Kukkipady in Bantwal taluk. <br /><br />Once an applicant files an online application he/she need not visit the taluk office and Deputy Commissioner’s office. While filing online application, the applicant will have to submit relevant documents at respective gram panchayats. The applicants will be given a computer-generated receipt on the spot. After paying the fee at the designated branches of the bank, acknowledgment will have to be submitted at respective panchayat offices which will in turn send them to the Deputy Commissioner’s office. <br /><br />The land conversion certificates will be issued at respective panchayats.<br />The land conversion applications of all the villages coming under Mangalore City Corporation limits will be received at the Mangalore taluk office. <br /><br />The remaining applications will be received at Moodbidri taluk office and Haleyangadi Gram Panchayat, Kinnigoli Gram Panchayat, Bajpe Gram Panchayat, Kandavara Gram Panchayat, Kotekar Gram Panchayats. <br />All the land conversion applications coming under Moodbidri hobli should be submitted at Moodbidri Special Tahsildar’s office. <br /><br />The land conversion applications of Bantwal Mooda, Bantwal Kasaba, Panemangalur, Thumbe, Pudu, Meramajalu, Kodmannu, Ammadi, Kallige, Ammunje and Kariyangala villages will be accepted at Bantwal Taluk office. <br />The applications of the remaining villages will be received at Kurnadu Gram panchayat, Vitla Gram Panchayat, Kavalamudur Gram Panchayat, Mani Gram Panchayat, Kukkipady Gram Panchayat offices. <br />DH News Service</p>
