<p>Medical education and district in-charge minister S A Ramdas said within the forthcoming Dasara, H D Kote taluk would be developed into a place of tourist interest.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking to press persons after offering ‘bagina’ to river Kapila at Kabini reservoir, he said, Rs 2 crore had been released by the state government to develop the open space at Kabini on the lines of Brindavan Garden at KRS.<br /><br /> “The failure to submit a project report has hindered development. Soon the project would be taken up,” he added. <br /><br />He said, Tourism, Heritage, Exhibition, Nadahabba (THEN) authority has already been formed, which would also look into the issue. The authority would concentrate on the progress of the project.<br /><br /> “THEN would pay attention to other development works at H D Kote taluk to make it a tourist attraction.Officials would identify places of tourist interest in the taluk and conduct a survey along with THEN, he added.<br /><br />Speaking on the issue of obstructing farmers from offering ‘bagina’ at Kabini reservoir a few days ago, he said, farmers have more rights than anyone, but it is necessary to take permission prior to entering the reservoir.</p>
