In a first, Karnataka budget to be livestreamed at over 230 KSRTC bus terminals on March 6

Shivamogga: In a first in Karnataka, Information and Public Relations Department is all set to livestream the state budget for the year 2026-27 to be presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on March 6 at the Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru, on LED and TV screens at over 230 select KSRTC bus terminals in the state.

According to the officials of the department, the department, in association with Bengaluru-based Vriti Media Solutions, will broadcast the budget presentation live on digital display (LED) and TV screens installed at 230 KSRTC bus terminals across the state from 10.15 am on March 6. Special arrangements have been made to bring this important budget presentation live to the people of the state.

When DH contacted, senior Assistant Director of Information and Public Relations Department Maruthi R said, Vriti Media Solutions has installed LED video walls in many KSRTC bus terminals across the state and the agency has been entrusted with the responsibility of live-streaming the state budget in select KSRTC bus terminals across the state.

The budget presentation at the Vidhana Soudha and the Chief Minister's press conference to be held later will also be livestreamed at various bus stands in the state through these screens. Through this, the public will get the opportunity to watch this important programme at the bus terminals.

He also mentioned that this facility may be available even in some taluk headquarters and towns across the state.
