Karnataka: Cabinet reshuffle to be decided by CM, party high command, says Eshwar Khandre

Mangaluru: Forest, Ecology and Environment Minister Eshwar Khandre said that the decision on cabinet reshuffle lies entirely with the chief minister and the party high command. He added that the government remains focused on completing its term and continuing development work.

“We are all committed to the decision of the high command. There is no internal confusion within the party. We will administer good governance focusing on development in the next two years. Due to our pro- people administration, the Congress won the by elections in the state. MLA Rajegowda had faced injustice. However, the Supreme Court came to his rescue. The truth will always win. Due to the pro people programmes, the Congress will come back to power in the future also, he added.

To a query on him being the CM aspirant, he said he remains a committed Congress worker and is satisfied with his current responsibilities in the forest department, focusing on conservation and environmental protection efforts. "No post is vacant. I would not like to give any further comments on it," he added.

On speculation regarding leadership ambitions and posters projecting D K Shivakumar as a future chief minister, he dismissed the controversy, saying such actions are expressions by supporters and do not require political escalation.
