<p>Addressing a press meet here Kanrnooru Koragappa Rao Samsmarana Samithi working President Bhaskar Rai Kukkuvalli said from yakshagana artistes to being the owner of a mela, late Karnooru Koragappa Rai has served yakshagana field for five decades. <br />Peruvayi Narayana Shetty had worked in Kateel, Kundavu, Dharmasthala, Karnataka, Kalavihara, Kadi, Puttur, Bappanadu, Kible and other mela. He has carved a niche for himself in the role of Daksha, Devendra, Jabali, Arunasura, Karna, Hiranyaksha, Kaurava and so on. <br /><br />Award<br />The award will carry a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and citation. <br />The award will be conferred by District-in-Charge Minister Krishna Palemar. <br />MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Sri Devi Education Trust President A Sadananda Shetty, Karnataka Yakshagana Bayalata Academy President Kumble Sundar Rao will be the chief guests on the occasion.
