<p>The local girl R Aishwarya has brought laurels to the city, by emerging topper in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) gazetted probationers exam for 2014. The results were declared on Saturday.<br /><br />Aishwarya, serving as an Assistant Manager with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in Bengaluru, is a computer engineering graduate from city-based National Institute of Engineering (NIE), and did her schooling from Marimallappa High School and PU from Teresian College. <br /><br />A resident of Siddarthanagar, Aishwarya is settled in Bengaluru after her marriage. Daughter of Vani and Ramaradya, Aishwarya wants to crack Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services examination. <br /><br />Aishwarya had an excellent academic record. She had secured 4th rank in SSLC exam and 6th rank in II PU. <br /><br />“I had an offer from an MNC in the US but as I had a penchant to serve people, I did not take up the overseas assignment. Now, my dream has come true,” a beaming Aishwarya told DH.<br /><br />A mother of a two-month-old baby, Aishwarya said she could succeed only because<br />of the unflinching support of her family members and husband Mahesh Aradya, an <br />engineer. “Being a homemaker and a bank employee, I had to face many challenges and stress in an effort to balance the family and profession. <br /><br />I could crack the examination only because of the support from my family,” she said. <br /><br />Aishwarya said, she used to prepare for the examination between 10 pm and 1 am everyday. <br /><br />“With patience, hard-work and dedication, it is possible to achieve anything in life,” a beaming Aishwarya signed off.<br /> </p>
