<p class="bodytext">The staffers of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) have given the state government a list of six demands, including the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. </p>.<p class="bodytext">According to the KMF Officers’ Association, the KMF has 1,300 officers/employees and the 16 district milk unions employ 6,000 other people. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Association president Govindegowda said that the Karnataka government has given all its employees a 27.5% salary hike by implementing the 7th Pay Commission recommendations in August 2024.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Autonomous organisations, like the KMF, and district milk unions, however, have announced only a 17% interim pay hike, he said and urged the Cooperation Department to sanction the remaining 10.5% pay hike. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The staffers of the KMF and the district milk unions had earlier decided to go on strike demanding the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations.
