<p>M M Hills, Chamarajanagar district: It has been decided in the Malai Mahadeshwara Swamy Kshetra Development Authority meeting to make M M Hills alcohol-free zone, and also give priority for providing basic facilities near the temple, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is also the Chairman of the Authority.</p><p>He was speaking to media persons atop the hill, on Friday, after visiting Suttur Mutt. The CM stayed overnight at M M Hills, after holding the historic 9th Cabinet meeting of the year, on Thursday.</p><p><strong>Superstition</strong></p><p>The Special Cabinet meeting was held here to provide special attention to the region and also to remove the backward district tag of Chamarajanagar. "There was a 'jinx' that those coming to Chamarajanagar will lose power. This is not true. Such superstitions have been hindering the society's progress. Alcohol should be banned atop the hill. Steps should be taken to ensure that Laddu prasada given at the temple should be of good quality and sold at a lower price for the devotees. It has also been decided to improve the basic facilities around Malai Mahadeshwara temple area," the CM said.</p><p><strong>ED raids</strong></p><p>To a query on the ED raid on MLA Vinay Kulkarni's house, Siddaramaiah said, "The Union government has been using Enforcement Directorate for political vendetta. Why no ED raid is being conducted on the BJP leaders"?, he asked.</p><p>Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement that they will give a befitting reply to the terrorist attack in Kashmir, he said, the failure of Central intelligence department is visible in the attack. </p>
