<p>Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) personnel arrested three people and seized 10 grams of MDMA from their possession.</p><p>Commissioner of Police Anupam Agrawal said the arrested were engaged in purchasing MDMA from Bengaluru and selling it in Surathkal.</p><p>Acting on confirmed information, CCB police on April 10 tracked down an Innova car that was being used to sell the MDMA to the public and students along the Mukk-Malemar beach road. The drugs had reportedly been sent via parcel in a private bus from Bengaluru to Mangaluru.</p><p>The arrested are Mohammad Asif (24), residing at 4th Block, near Badria Mosque, Krishnapura; Asgar Ali (31), a resident of Sasihitlu Road; and Mohammad Rasheem (24), a resident of 6th Block, Krishnapura. </p><p>The value of the seized MDMA is Rs 1 lakh. The police also recovered Rs 4000 cash, four mobile phones, car worth Rs 8.24 lakh. The accused were reportedly engaged in drug peddling to lead a luxurious lifestyle.</p><p>Of the arrested, there are two cases registered against Asif under the NDPS act at Surathkal. </p><p>The raid was conducted under the guidance of CCB ACP Manoj Kumar Naik, led by Inspector Rafeeq KM, PSI Sharanappa Bhandary, and the CCB team.</p>
