3 people died in car accident near Karnataka's Shiradi Ghat

Mangaluru: Three persons lost their lives in an accident between KSRTC bus and a car near Shiradi Ghat in Uppinangady police station limits on Friday.

According to the police, the deceased are Chandrashekar (57) from Shishila, Janardhan Gowda (58) from Ujire and Sridhar Gowda (61) from Marakada. They were travelling in the car from Sakleshpur towards Mangaluru.

While the KSRTC Rajahamsa bus was bound to Tirupati from Dharmasthala when the accident occurred. Suresh (58) from Ujire who was also travelling in the car has sustained serious injuries and is shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. A case has been registered. Further investigation is on.
