M'lurean wins national bike race championship

Mangalurean K P Aravind won the national dirt track bike race championship during the final round of the championship held at the dirt track of Kuvempu University Post Graduate Study Centre premises here.

It was organised by Chikkamagaluru Motor Sports Club. Aravind covered a distance of 70 km in 49.08 minutes. The event comprised 50-km special stage and 20-km transport stage.

Rally runner-up A R Nataraj gave a tough competition to Aravind. He lagged behind by three points. Both represented TVS team and had driven 450 cc bikes. They gave a spine-chilling experience to the spectators. Sanjay Kumar and Prabhuchandra too, did not disappoint the spectators.
