<p>Mysuru: A Mysuru-based Hindustani musician is being featured nationwide, from Mysuru Akashvani.</p><p>Shrimathi Devi’s vocal performance has been recorded at Mysuru Akashvani for Akashvani’s national music programme, as part of Ravivasariya Akhila Bharatiya Sangeet Sabha series.</p><p>Shrimathi Devi from Kergalli in Mysuru was accompanied by Sumit Nayak on tabla and Prasad Kamath on harmonium for the concert. The programme will be broadcast nationwide from all Akashvani stations on April 5 (Sunday), at 10 pm.</p>.Prince Aswathi Thirunal Rama Varma to present music concert in Mysuru on March 13.<p>Shrimathi Devi of the Gwalior gharana, an A-grade artist of All India Radio, is pursuing music studies under the guidance of Mumbai-based Apoorva Gokhale. Earlier, she has been guided by the late Chandrashekhar Puranikmath, Narayan Pandit, Padma Talwalkar, Vyasamurthy Katti, and Ravikiran Manipal.</p><p>A recipient of CCRT Junior Research Fellowship, she was earlier awarded the CCRT scholarship by the Union Ministry of Culture. She was also a winner of the All India Radio National Music Competition in Hindustani vocal, to directly earn a graded artist status. She has done a postgraduate degree in English Literature and also a postgraduate degree in Hindustani Music.</p>
